My teaching principles are founded on the Russian school, which I believe best leads to cultivated piano playing. This school exacts playing from memory and favours the traditional repertoire. This in no way means my students cannot learn film music or new classical works, such as the piano compositions by Ludovico Einaudi, yet the core of my teaching is in the classical piano tradition. My students learn scales and studies along with a correct yet relaxed hand shape and posture, whilst developing their musical taste.
An illustrative testimonial about the Russian school (in German) can be found here:
My aim in teaching is for my students to acquire a fine hobby alongside their later profession to accompany them throughout their lives, provide satisfaction and complement their daily activities. I do not offer tuition with the ambitious (and mostly illusive) goal of attaining a professional performing career.
I teach children from the age of eight, teenagers and adults, with the exception of adult beginners. Once or twice a year I organise concerts from which my students can gain performing experience.
Do you live in Munich or the surrounding area? Do you want to nurture your child’s creativity and musicality through piano lessons? I look forward to hearing from you.
